The Episode Series, which is a series of street performances based in comedy that began in 2003. The first performance occurred in a bar. Wearing a prosthetic nose, I proceeded to light it on fire while lighting a cigarette and then extinguished the nose fire out with my drink. I have also eaten my purse, poured water over my head repeatedly, stuck myself to the sidewalk with 25 feet of gum, and pied myself in the face. Still photos are taken of these by hidden documenters. I then erase myself out of the photos and draw myself back in, in comic book form.

I am currently in processing a 15-person Episode that was performed in Battery Park on September 13, 2008. This “feature-length” performance was scripted as a silent film that was performed in public, and not on film. This Episode focused on classic comedic gender roles with scenes inspired by silent comedic films, early television, and life. The documentation from this performance will result in the production of a comic book hopefully to be released in 2010.
